FY25 Water Line Replacement Project

Map of project area showing Alamosa Dr under construction

SCOPE OF WORK

This water line project will replace approximately 8,500 linear feet of the existing water lines with new high pressure polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe. PVC is not susceptible to alkaline or acid soil conditions and can bend without breaking to accommodate minor movement in our Texas soil.

SCHEDULE

  • Construction began in early July and is expected to take approximately six months.
  • Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Dates may change due to widespread rain, freezing temperatures, equipment failures, material delays or other unforeseen circumstances.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A temporary water line will be set up that will provide water to homes during construction. There will be minor interruptions to your water service when it is connected and disconnected. You will be notified 48 hours in advance of the work. You can expect minor traffic impacts, rolling shoulder closures and periodic intersection closures.
